2006 State Meet
The Lakeville South team tied for 23rd in the state Class AA meet.
- Marissa Provo finished in 16th place in the diving competion, in her first year of competitive diving
- The 200 Freestyle Relay Team (Becky Newgren, Natalie Herrild, Wendy Consoer, and Melissa McMahon) finished in 10th place
- 400 Freestyle Relay Team (Natalie Herrild, Lindsey Hickman, Melissa McMahon, and Becky Newgren) finished 14th.

Congratulations to the Lakeville South Cougar Swimmers and Divers on their winning the Section 1AA Championship!
Special congratulations to the following individuals:
- Stephanie Korba, Melissa McMahon, Rachel Ringeisen and Wendy Consoer for advancing to state in the 200 Medley Relay.
- Becky Newgren, Natalie Herrild, Wendy Consoer, and Melissa McMahon for advancing to state in the 200 Freestyle Relay. They set the Section 1AA record and the Lakeville South School record in the 200 Freestyle Relay!
- Natalie Herrild, Lindsey Hickman, Stephanie Korba, and Becky Newgren for advancing to state in the 400 Freestyle Relay. They set the Lakeville South School record in the 400 Freestyle Relay!
- Natalie Herrild for advancing to state in meet in the 50 Freestyle.
- Becky Newgren for setting a school record in the 50 Freestyle and for advancing to state in meet in the 50 Freestyle.
- Marissa Provo for setting a school record in diving and for advancing to state in meet in Diving.
- Stephanie Korba for advancing to state in meet in the 100 Butterfly.
